Best way to invest in stocks and mutual funds

Hello,

I am thinking of investing in stocks and mutual funds in Belgium.

--What is best way to invest in the stocks and mutual funds? what are the typical return here?
--I would like to know your opinion on the investment funds from various banks such as KBC, Beobank, ING...are they good way to invest in market? I heard they charge very high free around 2.5%.
--I come to know a website called MEDIRECT....has anyone used it? is it a good way of investing in Market?
--Is there any good  website to research stocks, mutual funds and ETFs for Belgium
--What are the typical fee, or brokerages are charged on market investments
-- Also if someone can throw some lights on Tax implication of investing in stocks and mutual funds

Can you suggest what is best mode for investment in belgium?

I have tired Medirect. Seems okay the option they have. i have heard the after sale service is very bad so drop it to use the services. And the bank indeed have hight fee. I have not compared. But if you want to do SIP or lumsum You can try compare with KeyTrade bank. Might what you looking for.

According to your name i assuming you are from India. If yes,it is easier to invest in india with best rates. 😊

If you want more info you can ping me i can share some of my experiences and tricks.

Cheers,
Kumar

Hello,
I am a British actuary (risk student) and I specialise in personal investment, especially (but not exclusively),  for English speaking people. You are completely correct that it is very easy to find high cost solutions, also inexperienced advisers full of bullshit.
I would suggest that we meet and discuss your ideas. This could be after work if you prefer. I can fill you in on the whole subject which if you do it carefully is virtually tax free. I
would do such a meeting without charge or obligation to you. Only if you are satisfied and have confidence will you decide to go further with me.

I know, can describe, and will fully disclose, all costs of anything we decide to do later.

You should be in drugs for be interesting in market, stocks in Belgium

We are the 2 country in taxes in Europe, we are the 4 In Europe in salary and still i didn't mention anything about the federal commission in stocks who has begun in 2009 (if I'm not wrong )

So , I you loose 1 euro, is you problem but if you win 1 euro, you have to pay 41 cent to that commission and don't remember the next year the amount for taxes because THAT NUMBER WILL  BE COUNT FOR TAXES

There is another solution for but who are you ?

@Michael Dunhill advertising your services is not allowed on expat.com

belgium is one of the few european countries with 0 capital gain tax.
Jovao, you are wrong.
france is 28%
italy 26%
take a look at ireland...

@appsperiphone  Why don't you enlighten everyone with your wisdom?
come on papi, show me your tits and tell us the true

I haven't told any lies

for each euro earned you must pay 41 cents and thenyou must pay the profit of the other 59 cents at the closing of taxes

SO WHO DID YOU WORK FOR ?
Belgium's got an exemption on CGT upto a certain amount. And if you're following the "goede huisvader" principle.
