On the Silver Coast there is a large English speaking community. It is a matter of this community getting organized and contacting these English speaking churches in Lisbon. There will easily be a solution for this current gap. https://www.expat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=966527

I have been in touch with three of these Churches, one on the Silver coast who may be willing to have an English service and another two who would be willing to plant a church. However in all 3 cases it will obviously depend on sufficient numbers to make it work, hence my original post, if like minded Christians can PM me I can start a mailing list so I can give updates as to the progress.

Hi Angela, That is thoughtful of you to reach out. I think you are North of Porto, is that correct? If so a bit far for us. At the moment we are attending an English speaking bible study in Caldas da Rainha and we hope to be starting an English speaking church within the next month or so. We have quite a few expats that are keen to attend we just need to get a few ducks in order. On that note any one within the catchment area of Caldas da Rainha that would like to attend a non Denominational English speaking church please send me a message.

Hi Folks here is an update.

We now have a growing English Language Church in Caldas da Rainha.

Evangelical Baptist Church of Caldas da Rainha

English language services and Sunday School every Sunday at 10H00 (Except 1st Sunday each month) at

Rua Dr.José Saudade e Silva 27, 2500-191, Caldas da Rainha Directions

Joint communion service (Portuguese with English translation) at 11H30 1st Sunday of the month in the Auditorium "Os Pimpões" Rua Dr. Fernando Correia 23, Caldas da Rainha  Directions

We welcome everyone, please come and join us. We have Sunday school and weekly Bible study sessions as well.

Also there are two ladies that I have contacts for that also live in Figuera da Foz, one does not drive but I think both would like to come to the church and maybe could share a ride. Just a thought.
