Related to cost of living in Bahrain

Hi All,

I have been offered and IT Service Delivery roles in Bahrain for 1100BD. I have gone through multiple  cost of living articles but seems having a lot of different opinion. So need your live Inputs,

The org is offering a 2 BHK fully furnished apartment that they are gonna finalize in Juffair or Adliya. The EWA bills will also be taken care by them. A car with driver until I get my license. They are providing a mobile with Internet, family insurance, yearly flight tickets to go on leave for family. There will be additional incentives based on performance.

I would like to know how much will I end up spending a month and my son has just turned 1.

Hello!
Most of the things are covered by your company, leaving with normal spending like grocery, laundry and other misc things. You should be saving a good amount.

Hi! As mentioned above, most of your expenses are taken care of.. as for your child, since you will have family insurance, the medical and routine checks will be covered. You would probably only be spending on groceries/personal needs/weekly outings/other services like gym/pool/salon etc..  this wouldn't cost you more than 300-500 (if you're very extravagant and would spend more on leisure activities).. if you're a saver you can also make do with about a 200BD max.. you can probably have about 400-500BD savings at this point.. ofcourse it'll change when your child starts going to school

Thank to so much

Thank you for the response. Yes I am just average spender, with very occasional outings and eating out. Hope I can save enough money.

As others said, it looks ok.  You just need to compare the savings vs. what you save currently - factoring in the higher cost on living in Bahrain vs. subcontinent countries.
