I'm glad to see the article address legal stay restrictions! I've seen many blogs and articles that choose to completely ignore that factor!

You need the post the info as you need to subscribe to read the article.

Assuming it's contents let me comment:

It is currently NOT legal to work here while on a tourist visa or during the 120 days if extended.

It is currently NOT legal to just show up stay and work online.

It is NOT legal to work remotely while living here and not declare your income and pay taxes.

There are many expats working here remotely and not declaring their incomes.  The. Law is territorial, it does not matter if you work remotely you need to declare your income here.   Note: many countries have tax  treaties.

I am a subscriber - so could read it
ddmcghee too

Yes Planner - it addresses the legality of the work status and cites some similar tourist visas to RD

I had to do the free registration, but I was interested enough in the article to do so!

Being a UK paper, it speaks to different islands than the Caribbean. altho they mentioned.

Okay.  all good.  My post then just clarifies what is needed here.

It will be interesting to see if the DR  takes any note of this.  What other countries are putting in place may be a good idea here too!

Barbados, Barbuda...... are 2 that come to mind
