Hello, I'm new here.  I looked at a small farm, about one hectare, up in the north near Chiclayo, but the owner told me something about the title that I don't understand.  He said it was a "communal" title if I understood him correctly (Spanish), but he said I could get a clear title.  Does anyone know anything about this?   I live in Chile and all titles are clear here.   Thanks, Dean

Just doing some quick research I don't think it's clear at all that you can get a clear title, at least not easily.  A título comunal is just that, there is no one owner but many.  That may not prevent you from being el dueño but it may mean there are certain things you cannot do as if you were the single owner.

You can do searches for these phrases to find out more.
perú título predial comunal
perú título comunal que significa

Thanks, I will search those!!!!

Hello,

My name is Seth, and I have traveled throughout Peru and met my Finace' while there. I love the people, culture, food, and history. I am in the United States now but will be moving to Peru within the next 4 months. I had applied for a K1 visa, but with Covid, hitting simultaneously, it looks like it will take a long time to process. So I have decided to move to Peru perhaps permanently. I am in the process of getting my TEFL certification and also hope to be working in the tourist industry organizing tours to my Finance's family's lodge.

If anyone has any job opportunities, I have a diverse background and have worked extensively in the Material Supply Chain function as a procurement specialist and have a degree in Graphic Design. I also grew up on a farm and worked in the coal mines of West Virginia so I am no stranger to hard work. My major concern is being able to find work and support us in Peru.

Thanks
