Hi All,
I'm US Expat resident in Ferrara. I was looking for advice for auto insurance. I've had a driving license in the US for 18 years, but recently acquired an Italian driving license.
However, the cost of insurance is very high because they don't have any record of me in Europe.
Are there any good auto insurance companies that recognize driving history from the USA? Or is there a way to submit this documentation to an insurance company so that the recognize it?

You could try Clements Worldwide. They did a really good deal for me, although it was still a lot higher than it used to be in the UK.
