Should we set out to explore Danish's culture through its sense of humour? Indeed, if one is planning to settle in the country, it is best to understand the cultural codes governing humour in order to avoid any faux-pas.

I don't agree. Danes jokes a lot about the social system. The trouble is that you maybe not understand the jokes before you are able to talk danish. But you could follow Simon Talbot when he makes a standup show. It is a lot danish humour. See him on youtube>>>.
