Hi All

Am in the process of buying a small Gilet and will be out in summer to do some work fixing it up. Gilet is located near Josselin

Am asking for a bit of advice to where is good for building materials, wood, roofing tiles etc?
I have been advised that many materials will e cheaper in UK but some will obvs need to be bought in France due to size and weight

One thing I'm definitely going to need to get over in France will be kitchen counter top, whether this is wood or composite if anyone can suggest stores or online to source

Hi there - the best place is probably Brico Depot in Morlaix. They stock pretty much everything, and I've not been able to find it cheaper elsewhere. A lot of things are not massively more expensive than in the UK, and a lot of stuff is cheaper. It depends what it is; tools tend to be more expensive, so bring those if you can. And paint/varnish too; if you can bring over several tubs from England that would be good.
