The must-try activities in Thailand

Hello everyone,

Moving to Thailand is an exciting opportunity to discover a new culture and try things you might not even have heard of before. To make sure other expats and expats-to-be do not miss a thing, would you be able to answer the following questions on activities not-to-be-missed in Thailand?

What are the activities everyone must try at least once in Thailand?

What are the activities that one should partake in if they want to discover the local culture?

Are there any activities that are characteristic of Thailand?

Do you have an anecdote to share about any of the activities listed above?

Please share your experience,

Priscilla

Get to a decent Spa,
and indulge in a complete PAMPER-MY-FEET-LET-ME FEEL-LIKE-A-KING session

Start off with a soaking pedicure,
Let the therapist use the blade liberally, get off that dry hard skin
you'd be surprised what comes off,
have that. "is that even my feet shedding so much feeling"
:-D

Then get a foot-scrub with that sandy cream
one can actually feel the dead skin coming off.
may feel a bit grit grit gritty, bear it.
Then a nice nail trim, with the cuticles & dirt taken care off.

Then head for a foot massage,
And have them use those rounded sticks to press out the pressure points.
(if the pedicure place does not have the foot massage there is sure to be a store nearby, ask the pedicure person)
Avoid those Shady neon lit shanty places, where the massage doesn't stay only at foot level
;-)

Remember to tip the therapist well, as most work only for tips,
and a Waai with a khopkhun khaap is appreciated for the great work that they do.
fill them with pride.

AHAA
this is bliss, now i am in Thailand. Land of Smiles
only now, I am smiling
:-)
now you can go out and do all the shopping n eating you want

(This has been my Best activity in Thailand award for over 10 years now 2009-2019)

Don't forget to show off to your friends. your new found feet.
if you are a guy you would be mocked at for being ladyLike getting a pedicure n all..
hey, but who cares...my feet, my Thailand, " I'm Loving it " McFeet
Best
