Living and investing destination - Sri Lanka

Hi,, I'm Olivia, Came to Sri Lanka few months back. Traveled to few destinations there and I'm truly in love with this wonderful country. the food and people are so nice.

I would like to start a guest house or a Holiday Bungalow in Sri Lanka. or to invest in a business with a local partner.  I do not have much knowledge about the country.

You can lease a property and thereafter operate it as a guest house. But you cannot do that on a tourist visa. If you can register it as a Board of Investment approved entity, it would be possible to request a short term resident visa. The regulations change from time to time. Hence the current applicable rules need to be checked.
