Does anyone know if Santo Domingo's stores are open on the 31st?

especially department stores(blue mall, agora mall) and bars and restaurants?

And I heard  zona colonial is famous for the trip, does it mean the whole area or the specific street?
Im not familiar with the concept of street. because every place in Seoul is called as subway station and landmark. and can you tell me where should go in Santo Domingo for experience?
thank you for all the answers.

Stores are open until about 1om normally on New Years Eve. Someday be open longer.  Grocery stores maybe until 4.

Hotels and restaurants are open all night - this is one of theirs biggest nights of the year!

The colonial zone is full of restaurants and bars and locations to have some fun on New Years Eve!  You are likely to find a party or two or welll it's really a giant party.

The colonial zone has a long pedestrians only street El Conde. It runs east to west through the zone. On the east end there are dozens of restaurants and bars, historic locations, forts, churches, cathedrals etc.

And check out Plaza Espana which is 2 or 3 blocks north of the Conde on the east end.
