Going out in Auckland
Hi there,
Which are your 10 favorite places to go out in Auckland ?
Which places would you recommend to newcomers? (restaurants, pubs, discos, theaters, cinemas, concert halls...)
Thanks!

Re: Going out in Auckland
Auckland is such a huge place with so many attractions and things to do. One of the major attractions is the Sky Tower. If you are visiting Auckland, don’t leave without a visit, you get amazing 360 degree views of the city from the top and the exciting part are the glass floors you can walk across.
Other of my favourite places in Auckland are:
Auckland Museum
Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World
Hauraki Gulf Islands
North Shore Devonport
Mt Eden Summit
One Tree Hill
Viaduct Harbour
Mission Bay
And the list still goes on.

Re: Going out in Auckland
Bars - the best afternoon boozing is done down by the water at the Viaduct Harbour. Soul bar and Euro have fantastic food and great positions to soak up the sun. Once the sun goes down head up to Chapel bar and PSC on Ponsonby Road. Kingsland is also good for a quiet beer.
Cinemas - Rialto newmarket for quality of films, price and comfort of seats.
Eden Park - get out see some sport and follow it up with a beer in Kingsland.
Go into Real Groovey at the top of queen street as they have a ticket office there for all the good events.
Hope this helps. N
