it depend on the project you willing to take or company you willing to work , in case the company is under BOI ( Board of Investment) its easy for you to get visa , anyway its the typical procedure that company need sponsor and send docs to immigration, but according to my experience , its not that easy to convert if you come as visitor and later if you willing to change to work permit , better get the visa thing done before you arrive here.
