Hello all,
In my intro post, I gave a lot of information about myself and I mentioned that I could take care of myself. i also mentioned being from India and a string on handguns from another member brought about the subject of the fer-de-lance/terciopelo.
As a child in India, I actually was bitten by a cobra and survived thanks to a very very talented doctor who acted instantly instead of waiting for a reaction from the adults around me.
While I'm not necessarily scared of snakes, I tend to err on the side of caution. And I am moderately worried that my Murrican doggos might be more interested in snakes than scared of them.
What if any are precautions taken by expats in CR to avoid a herpetological nightmare in their homes and yards?
Are there any stories of coming face to face with and/or being bitten by the creepy crawlies?
I know Costa Rica is world renowned for antivenin production and if one was to be bitten by a snake, It could be in worse places than CR.
Just wondering.
