Contemplating a move to Kyoto

Hi,
I am thinking about moving to Kyoto with my family (husband and 2 sons ages 10 and 12) and am interested in learning more about the housing market there. What would it cost to rent a centrally-located ,3BR apt. for a year? Is there a good Int's school in Kyoto? Where would I be able to find more information on these topics?
