Hey Douggy1,

Through my own quest to find a nice place to stay, I seem to have deduced that (depending on where you come from and your standard of living) that a "nice" apartment in "safe" areas goes for upwards of Rs.20,000 per month (this is in a place like Grand Baie, but it may be cheaper in the center of the island).

I must have looked at over 100 different rentals and the places that go for below Rs.10,000 seem dodgy or look like sh1tholes (in the most pleasant way of describing them).
