How was the move to South Africa for your kids?

How did they manage to adapt to their new environment?

Share with us your experience and advice on settling in South Africa with children.

Thank you in advance,

Priscilla

Kids adapt easily.

Luckily South Africans are friendly and have a good nature, the kids will love SA and Im sure so will you   All the best for your new adventure!  :D

south africa is a fantastic country as far as weather, scenery and wild life and the game reserves. that's the good side!!i don't know what guidance any family and friends there and here have given but let me assure you i have no wish to interfere but i am 71 years old, immigrate to south africa in january 1975, experience the apartheid era and how the country has simple almost "disintegrated"in so many ways over the past 25 years. nelson mandela was an outstanding world politician but after he stepped down there was no one to pick up the reins. sadly the country has become very much an african country. saying i will be accused of being racialist. nothing  is further from the truth. in 75  2 rands were equal 1 pound.10 years ago 8 rands  were  equal to 1pound. today 22.5 rands equal 1 pound. this shows what the financial boffins think of south africa.you must think of your childrens education. this is not the u.k. and unless you are prepared to pay for more private school education their education won't be up to the standard you would expect. people are emmigrating from south africa in their droves as they are worried about their childre4ns education and the kids future. there is no national health  so you willneed to get a medical aid. then you will need a car as the bus service is virtually none existant. i  simply want you, for you and your family, to give very serious thoughts regarding moving to south africa.should you want to contact me my e-mail address is [email protected] stress i do not want to interfere but simply highlight some everyday life activities which an outsider to south africa may overlook and believe it is a simple move .best regards ronnie moir
