Things to do in Beijing during the weekends

Often, on the weekends I escape concrete Beijing to the beautiful rural Beijing. Many only know downtown Beijing. However, Beijing is huge and includes some magnificent scenery and great place for hiking, boating, rafting and having fun.

I don't know what to do in Beijing when I first came here. But my friends introduce many activities to me. So I want to recommend you some of my favourite activities in Beijing on weekends. When it is warm, I'd like to go scenic spots in Beijing in the day time, like the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, etc. And I also like to watch concerts and Chinese arts for my own interests.
