Want to change nationality on my Iqama, any info?

Hi,
I was born in Canada, montreal, I am a Canadian citizen, but I also have a Syrian passport since both my parents were born there and I lived there for 4 years.
My Iqama says Syrian, and I want to change it to Canadian.
I have asked around, but never went to Jawazat, it seems I need to visit the Syrian embassy to cancel my Syrian passport in order to change my Iqama to Canadian citizen.
The Syrian Embassy is closed in KSA due to the situation in Syria.
Is there anything I can do?

Thank you and hopefully someone knows a thing or two about this.

Regards,
Leon

You just need no objection letter from the Canadian embassy, and your sponsor should fill some kind of form for you  and transfer the information from the Syrian passport to the Canadian passport, and you are done.
That's exactly what happened with me.

Thank you Abdul Wahab,
I will visit the Canadian Consulate asap.

:thanks:

Good luck  ;)

What is the procedure for Jordanians? Is it the same as Syrians?

Thanks
