i am currently living in cagliari now but I need to go to my country, Nigeria but am renewing my document. Can I travel with it to my country with any airlines? Please urgent reply is needed. Thanks

If you are talking about your passport, it must still be valid or you cannot even board an aircraft. If you have applied for a new passport and have not yet received it, you will have to wait until you have it before you can travel.
If your trip is urgent, then you should contact the Nigerian Embassy/Consulate in Italy to see if you can have them issue an Emergency Passport. This document would allow you to travel, but usually must be surrendered to immigrations authorities upon arrival in your homeland.

But my passport is valid. Am talking about permesso di soggiorno has expired is under renewal. Can I used my receipt to travel?
