Survey brags that 39% of Brazilians are satisfied with DEMOCRACY

São Paulo - Results of a survey conducted by IBOPE (Instituto Brasileiro de Opinião Pública e Estatística) show that 39% of Brazilians are "satisfied" or "very satisfied" with the state of DEMOCRACY in this country. This represents an increase from 26% from a similar survey last year. And the government is bragging about this????

They seem to fail to understand that this means that fully 61% of the population IS NOT SATISFIED with what passes for democracy in this country!  :dumbom:

Way to go guys! Really cause for all this backpatting, isn't it?

Maybe the Govt where very satisfied as the amount of satisfied people was over 10%..... :P

Well, given that the fact that the recent presidential election here was the most closely contested in Brazil's history. Only 2 million votes separated the two candidates in the second round run-off that means that the country is split evenly down the middle, half the country voted for the present government and half against it.

The results of this survey about satisfaction over the state of democracy shows that even 11 percent of those that voted for the present government aren't satisfied with it. Scary thought!
