How is rent paid in oman?

First of all you are welcome in Oman . Rent can be paid monthly or annually , the method of payment is very flexible in Oman
Another thing is do you want the accommodation for single  or family

Oh thts brilliant! Does it depend entirely on the landlord? Or do they all offer both options? I'm only looking for accomodation for single or potentially 2 rooms, 1 for me and 1 for another colleague who's coming out at the same time.

Are the Omani people generally alright with the English people?

For Room Rent First You have to get registered in municipal Authority and payment method Can be Selected according to Land Owner will However You Start looking Online for Accommodation Where are you planning to Stay I mean in which Area of Muscat?
2ndly people are Good and Nice So no need to Worry about

Can I register with the municipal authority before I get out there? And do I have to be registered with them before I can rent at all or just a room share?
I'm working in madinat qaboos so would like to live close to that as I'm not going to be able to drive for the first couple of months.
Oh good, are there any things I should know about being out there as an English expat?

Hi Jake,

After you land in oman you could stay in an hotel for a week before searching for your kind of accommodation as per your budget. Here in oman Some house owners Charge Monthly, or take post dated cheques after only which they register the same in the municipality as an agreement.

The people of Oman are very friendly and hospitable. Its a very freindly Place with a lot of other expats.

Madinat Qabus Hmm Coincidentally i am also living Near to this place and Aren't they offering you Accommodation?
if Not You can Still manage Good and Cheap Residency in near Places and why you cant Drive??
And All Expats are treated the same here People are Warm and Friendly. And you will get register after getting here
