Regarding Contract Term of Saudi Electricity Company

Dear Friends,

I recently get a job offer from Saudi Electricity Company. My contract duration is 1 years as per the agreement. I wish to have a long term relationship with the company. Can any body tell me what does that actually mean for 1 year contract term. I check with SEC HR also they confirmed that its a general contract terms for expats. Many Indians are working from more than 15 years on same agreement terms etc. Is this is correct ?
I am going to join the SEC in Aug,14. Your earliest response would help me, currently i am serving my notice period in India. Please help !!!!!!

Hi Arni,

It is a renewable contract. 80% expatriates are working on contracts. And these are renewable every year as long as they have no budget restrictions.
