Can any 1 recomend a courier or other service for me to be able to post 3 kiddies bike to ourselves from sunny manchester, to the even sunnier st pauls bay.

You might try excess-baggage.com
I haven't used them myself yet but have been in contact with regard our move and they are quick to respond.
MKer recommended them after using them to ship from HK to Malta. They actually provide containers specifically for bikes I believe.
