Hi Ryan,
On behalf of everybody at Expat-blog, welcome on board.
You'll probably meet many new friends in Lima is you post directly on the Peru Forum. You can access the Peru Forum (or any other national forum for that matter) by looking at the bottom of the Expat Forum main page where you'll find a list of nations separated into geographic regions.
Look for South America and then click on Peru, that will take you directly to the Peru Forum. Once there you will have your choice of language forums that you wish to post in. If you click on the flag (language) icon in the green banner at the top of the page you can choose the English, Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese language forum for any nation.
