There is a minimum salary in order to get a work permit in Malaysia. It is RM5,000 per month. To be honest, hotel reception jobs don't pay that much here. Malaysians speak very good English as well. You would also not qualify to work under the low paid foreign worker system, as only certain nationalities can be recruited.
