Hi,

Is it possible to send a new laptop from the US to Belgium in a private package (UPS or normal post) without paying any extra taxes at the Belgian customs? Or will the customs officials demand VAT, import duty or the like? Please let me know if you had any experience.

It is possible to send it but we have to pay taxes upon the content.

I suggest to check the rates before sending any package, since I had to pay once about 50 euro just for a couple of boxes of tea... lack of experience.

You have to pay import taxes even if its a private package.

Best way is to get some friend carry it for you (If you are lucky to have one traveling from US to EU)..
