Hi everyone, arrived in Muscat 7 days ago. Moved into an apartment, rented a car, got my ID/work permit and spent the weekend shopping at Grand Mall and Lulu, then went for a drive around. It's a small place!

I think it would depend on where you would compare it to. It may seem small if you came from a big city but Muscat definitely has a lot of great things to offer (except for the heat). It will be to your advantage if you know someone with a car and knows his way around. People here are definitely more accommodating than in other middle eastern countries.

I like it here, rented a car on my second day and drove 400km the first weekend so now I know my way around reasonably well!
Not so hot, I am used to 45+!
