When you have friends or family visiting you, where do you go with them? What are the must-see places in Laos, the tourist sites?
How to visit the country in an original way? Any unusual or unknown place to recommend?
What would you suggest for a couple of days of for a week of holidays in Laos?

There are many places to visit and things to do in Laos.
Champassak Province Southern Lao;
Elephant rides at Xepian
Khon Phapeng water falls
Khong Island
Wat Phu ruins
Boloven Plateau Southern Lao;
Elephant rides
Coffee farm home stays
Ho chi Minh trail
Luang Prabang old heritage listed ancient capital
Vientiane has a nice river walk on the banks of the Mekong with a night market set up.
Plenty of bars restaurants guesthouses hotels etc.
Places in Laos for trekking, white water rafting, cycle rides etc.
The best way to visit Laos is to go with a group of friends.
Plenty of accommodation from backpacker style to good quality hotels.
Depending on time, I take friends to Pakse, southern Lao as there is much to see and do there.
To see everything you would need more than a week.
Flying is the best way to get around.
Friendly people.
An online search will give you a good idea of what to do and where to go.
