What is the cost of living in Shanghai?
I would like a room with onsuite at least or share an apartment with one more person?
What is the cost of travelling on the train?
What is the cost of food?

4000 RMB for a Shanghai stint will cover your shared room rent and daily food expenses. That gives you no savings unless you live on a frugal budget and work on another job.
