New Zealander moving to Vietnam looking to meet locals

Hi

I'm a New Zealander who will be moving to Vietnam in February and I'm keen to make some friends in my new home town.

I'm hoping to meet english speaking Vietnamese locals and expats, ideally in or close to Districts 1 and 3.

It would be great to get the inside knowledge of where to go, what to do and discover the hidden gems the city has to offer.

I'm also looking to take Vietnamese language classes so if anyone knows a good tutor or is able to suggest Vietnamese classes close to Districts 1 or 3 please let me know.

I also enjoy cooking (would love to learn to cook vietnamese); checking out the art scene; amature photography, and discovering local designs and architecture. I'm well travelled and like meeting people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
