Studying International Law

Hello!

Has anyone studied International or EU law as a non-EU citizen?

I'm thinking of applying to study at a university in Italy, but I would like some insight on job opportunities following graduation.

Does anyone have any experience with this or advice?

Thank you!!

Hi Lauren,

I'll answer based on my job experience where I had some of my colleagues studied International and EU law.

Regarding the opportunities, definitely there are a lot! I was working for International non profit organizations (humanitarians) for the previous 12 years. while you're studying you can apply for internship with one of these organizations which usually provide short term training within their staff and of course you might have a huge opportunity to stay with them and start your career in the same field. it's not necessarily to work only in Europe but you might have also more opportunities to work also abroad. as you might know, nowadays there are unfortunately a lot of crisis all over the world need to be covered by different projects (law, politics, health and other sectors).

I do really cheer you up and wish you the best of luck!
