Good morning,
We are moving to Mauritius in a few weeks and we will be hiring a full time domestic help. Tasks will involve the usual cleaning, tidying, ironing, cooking, watching the children. I will be present.
I understand the legal requirements on minimum wage, holidays, working hours, lunch break, transport. But the minimum wage is extremely low and I would like to offer a fair amount.
Can someone share their experience and recommendations on this and advise what wages would be so we treat the person fairly.
