Advice needed about deceased estates

Hi. My husband was from Agadir Morocco and I'm South African. He had dual citizenship for both Morocco and South Africa and passed on in South Africa. He left behind assets in Morocco such as a house etc. I need to know what the procedure would be to liquidate the estate in Morocco according to sharia law.

Is a will necessary or does sharia law apply automatically. If I as the wife were to come to Morocco to start the proceedings, would I require written consent from all the heirs here in South Africa?

Would I need to get a lawyer or is there a family court I would have to go to?

Approximately how long would I need to stay in Morocco to get the process going and approximately how long could it take for the estate to be liquidated?

Any advice in this regard would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Dear Mrs,

First of all, my sincere prayers for your husband.

You will need to get the official decease paper apostilled by foreign ministry to be enforceable in Morocco.

The process can be started right before your arrival as it can be long.
