Single permit and proof of subsistence

Hello.

I am preparing some documents to apply for a single permit later next year.

I found some lists and I asked some people about it, especially about means of subsistence.

Some said I need to have my bank statement for proof of subsistence, but some others said I don't need to because I will work in Belgium (Flanders) anyway.

I need some confirmation, do you guys need to send your bank statement when applying for single permit?

When your employer applies for the single permit for work, they will also submit the compensation details (salary, allowances, etc) that you would receive.

So it is not necessary for you to submit any bank statements with your application.

Good luck with your application.

@Priscillaw No, it's not required. In my experience, my employer only asked me to send them the scanned copies of my passport, medical certificate, diploma, and police clearance certificate. The employment contract and proof of health insurance are provided by them.

@Priscillaw

The only things that you will need:

•    your Belgian ID / verblijfstietel.

•    proof from mutuality that you or all your family are affiliated to the mutuality.

•    the working contract.

Nowhere you would supposed to provide your bank statements which is privity.
