Moving to turks and caicos with a banned breed dog

i may be moving to grand turk for a job opportunity and i own an american pit bull terrier, which is banned by the government along with numerous other breeds of dogs.  i know that there are expats that had these banned breeds on the island before the new law went into effect.  my question is what if any chance do i have of possibly getting a waiver on a case by case basis?  if so any one in paticular that may be able to help out?  any info would be great
