Does anyone have or know where I can get an Australian license plate to bring back to a friend in the States? He collects them?

Hi, You can get them off of eBay if you want to try there. There are 8 states, and each state issues a standard plate plus other types for different fees (like in the US). It's actually not really legal to have old/extra plates here unless you are a legitimate collector (there's some sort of license issued for collectors of old plates), but I'm not sure how well that's enforced. I hope this info helps.
