GARLIC overload

Is it just me or do you have the same experience?
It seems that almost ALL food in Bali is generously overdosed in in Garlic? I love Garlic however it has to be in the right context and portions. Some food is enhanced by garlic but not all food. Sea food for example should be eaten so that you can taste the delicate flavours of the fish. If it is covered in Garlic all you can tast is Garlic!! Another example is when you order a roast lamb dinner and the vegetables are swimming in Garlic. I say enough is enough!! We have to take a stand somewhere. So what I do now is simply boycott all garlic. Simply ASK when you place the order "NO GARLIC" please. If they can't do that, order something else. If it still comes out swimming in Garlic send it back to the kitchen. Maybe, Just maybe they may catch on that too much garlic is not good for business. You can do your bit by following the advise.

Re: GARLIC overload

I agree with you. May I suggest you ask Garlic as a side dish then you can apply just how much you like.
Its similar tothe Chilli problem. Try it
