Hi all,

Was wondering if you could help provide me with details on living and expenses in Nairobi please...

Wanted to find out how much rental of houses are in a gated community (preferably with a swimming pool), utility bills, costs of food, safety/ crime, prices of cars, petrol costs, and children/ mom playgroups And on a whole, what its like to be living there. Think I covered everything here.

Welcoem to Expat.com.
Desired kind of house will cost you somewhere around,1000 USD.
Food for one person is just like - 200 USD or so.
Weekend Outing - including Restaurant - 200 USD Min
Safety - every where in the world, there are Darksides, so safety depends on you, As would say kenya is far better than man countries in the world.
Car - will cost you around 10k USD onwards (Japanese used one)
Locally used one will be starting from 4k USD onwards(the one which Runs)
Petrol is like somwhere around 1.2 USD/ Litre.
