It's expensive and rubbish.

Booze is overpriced because of taxes and bar owners who exploit you.
That and the expensive rents in areas where many of the bars are, force prices up even further.
I'm glad I don't booze. Saves me a fortune.

PS - I'm from a place called Barnsley, Yorkshire, England.
We aren't known for being free and easy when it comes to spending hard earned cash so I see expensive booze as a real waste of cash.
Of course, going all Muslim didn't exactly enhance my interest in getting smashed on expensive pop but I have no problem with anyone else who fancies a drink of anything harder than Coca cola.

I dislike rip off jobs and that's pretty much what booze is in Indonesia.

Jl Jaksa is a serious dump to be avoided unless you're a male drunk looking for horizontal pleasure at a price.

Been and I won't be going again.

last but not least, Alexis can be fun, oh yeah ive been there   while those FPI talking loud here n' there against porn** etc even successfully banned lady gaga concert coz shes to vulgar   dam' bought the ticket already lol , but check out those strippers in Alexis & some nite clubs in Kota, they are free dancing the nite away ... Jakarta oh Jakarta

Lol, jakarta nite life can be rough yet its fun, depends on which place u want to go, what music and the society :0 , some of the club is claimed for those jet set some of is full with lonely man whose looking for 1 night fun or a just a bunch of people whose looking some fun,drink and enjoying the weekend with friend. and yes!! the Booze here damn so expensive beers start form 35-60 Rp ,poor gin tonik and other spirits is around 70-90 Rp , cocktails from 95-120rp and so on.

If you are young professional Female around 25 years above perhaps you will like Immigrant, Lowey,blowfish,dragonfly or even Cj's and Bats for the life music (just take care the way u dress up here since so many baby here), avoid kemang area for me i found kemang clubs more for teenagers.but you can have a decent dinner and late dinner after since they have 24hour restaurant. but kemang have so many decent Beers Garden which I loved to go after office hour on Friday. for more intense clubbing you can go to KOTA area for more sin and Crazy wild night when you get stuck and bored by the empty bar on the downtown.
