Document attestation process (family visas and how to apply visa)

hey all,

document attestation is hell of a process in saudi arabia..especially if you bring your documents here with you and want to get them attested, i did the following

luckily i needed only 3 documents for FAMILY VISA
1- diploma
2- marriage certificate
3- birth certificate (in case if u have any children)

1- first you need to attest all these documents from MOFA (home country)
2- get them translated into arabic with trusted translators.
3- take these attestation to your (home) embassy and get them attested.
4- afterwards Finally take them to "wizarat kharjiya" MOFA (riyadh)

once its done you can easily apply for family visa..plz correct me if im wrong...as i done the same for my family visa...

all the above documents + origionals

1- letter from kafeel (salary Certificate) it has to be attested from "chamber of commerce" ghurfa tijariyah....( get the letter and get it attested by yourself) its easy.

2- VISA form correctly filled without spelling mistakes. it needs to be attested from kafeel and from "chamber of commerce" again you can do it yourself if its signed by kafeel.

and thats it..deposit 2000 SAR in bank and apply for visa..hope this helps..

Worthy Post, well done,

Thanks for sharing the information :)

SUPER post new expats  ! :one

Assalamu alaikum,

I need to know is it compulsury to hold a digree certificate, and if it is a diploma should it be in the same field, i mean im working in a travel field and holding a diploma ,and my visa is sales executive

the visa form does NOT require a chamber of commerce attestation. only the letter from the company needs to be attested and the same person's signature should be on the form with the same stamp.
this visa form needs to be filled out in arabic and the people sitting outside the passport office can fill it out for you in arabic if you pay them 20riyals perform. they can even deposit your 2000riyals via cellphone for you.

Hello,

1. Usually Technician visas allow to bring family.
2. Impact can be legal - not allowed to have non saudi in HR professions ,so when checking comes you will have to "move" out of your office.

FAMILY VISA APPLICATION PROCESS :

Step 1. Application Form, Original Certificate attested by Saudi Embassy, Copy of passport of dependants, Marriage and Birth Certificate Copies, Translated versions in Arabic for all relevant documents

Step2. Attest application from COC
Step3. Pay money to Bank
Step4. Deliver application to MOI & await feedback
Step5. Fill online application with MOFA
Step6. Attest application from COC
Step7. Deliver to MOFA, Receive application ref number
Step8. Check MOFA website for visa release 2-3 DAYS

Delivery of visa.

2  What documents I must prepare before I leave Pakistan.
3  Where I must have done the attestation process?
4  What documents I will need in Saudia for family Visa?

Kindly let me know all.

1. Feni Kharbai or electrical technician could get family visa, I am not 100% sure (perhaps some one else in the forum could confirm). As far as I know it should, since I have seen telecom technician and other technician visas able to bring family.

2. Its always better to carry with you all documents as soft copy and hard copy - Education qualification, marriage certificate, passport copies, birth certificates of you and children if any etc .

3. Attestation for visa - the certificate attestation in all country follows more or less the same process- first you have get your certificate attested by the college / university, then ministry of higher education, then ministry of foreign affairs , then the saudi embassy (if in pakistan, you need saudi cultural attache before the embassy and you need an attested letter from your company to do so).

4. For family visa - after you get the iqama you can apply for family visa (more details on my previous posts : https://www.expat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=16474&p=2 )

Regards,

thanks for your reply.
I have got all my educational and personal documents (marriage certificate and child birth certificate)attested from foreign office. also I will accompany all the original and photocopies of all my documents with me for further process.

I want to ask one more thing. My wife name in marriage certificate differs to some extent (as before marriage she writes her father name and now she writes my name with her name). Will it create problem during getting family visa. Her Passport and ID cards name is same.
kindly guide
Thanks

If the name in the visa slip and passport match, then there shouldnt be any issues, since the marriage certificates usually uses the maiden name.

Thank you very much for your guidance. I will remain in contact for further help in this regard.

Dear Roshan,

You can apply for permanent family visa now since its very difficult and rare to convert visit visa to permanent visa.

You would need to change the name of father in the child birth certificate in order to avoid any complications and rejections due to name mismatch.

You can apply for the visa any time, there is no rest period for such things.

Hope this helps.

Thanking you very much.My child bith certificate is already attested by saudi embassy, name in the certificate is roshan jamal.but in kid passport surname is  roshan. Please help me

Even though its attested from Saudi Embassy, as I mentioned earlier, preferable to change in order to avoid complications that could occur due to change in name.

There was a requirement earlier for a total salary of at least SR.4000/- but since has been taken out as per my knowledge. But I have also heard cases where it has been rejected for peopl with less than 4000. Hence I would say safe bet is to point at 4K.

Yes, first with the ministry of foreign affairs in your home country and then with the saudi embassy. As to time , it varies from country to country and depending on Govt. Officials :D

1.can  i get family visa on the genral electrician profession.

No, this profession does not allow to bring family.

2.if not.then can i apply degreee certificate for family visa.

With the commerce certificate, yes you can get family visa but you need to attest it and then change your profession - preferable to Marketing Specialist.

3. or  do i  need to changed profession.

Answer above.

4.if i really need to change profession, on this degree, which type of visa can i apply. like accountant(hasib).

Accountant might be difficult, best is marketing profession, as mentioned above.

It does not matter and of course you need to attest the certificate from Saudi embassy from your country of origin or from where the certificate is issued.

Salam,
I am a bit confused here. I hope you guys could clear out my confusion. According to this post the marriage certificate just needs to be attested by MOFA in my home country right?? I dont have to get it attested by Saudi Embassy As well in my home country??
I already got it attested from MOFA in my home country both arabic translation and original and then got it attested from my home country embassy here. But when i gave it at MOFA saudi arabia they just gave the arabic translation back without attestation and gave me no reason at all.

Myself kumar an engineer by profession, planning to come to saudi on technician visa.My company assured that there wont be any problem to get family status. They are unable to give me engineer visa as my certificate attestation in india will take more time.
As attrsted certificates are mandatory for applying family visa how can i apply for that?
Also i am planning to marry after 6 months of service at saudi, how can i take my wife right after marriage? Marriage certificate embassy attestation may take more time. Please guide

As far as I know marriage certificate need not be attested from Saudi embassy and only from MOFA in your country and the translation will do .

Its better to get the certificate attested since you are planning to come to KSA. So now you can come on technician visa and later once the certificate is attested you can change the profession and then get the family visa.

As for bringing family, yes you need to wait till the marriage certificate is issued and attested by ministry of foreign affairs in India or an Arabic translation would do.

Hi, I am from Pakistan but I have have UK based qualification (professional qualification). At the the time of coming to Saudi Arabia, I got my certifcate attested from British Council, then from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then sent it to the agent for visa processing. I got Account visa based on that.

Now for Family status application, can I follow the same path (British Council > MOFA > Saudi Embassy in Home country > MOFA Saudi Arabia) or do I have to get it attested from HEC (Higher Education Commission of Pakistan) > then MOFA > Saudi Embassy > MOFA Saudi Arabia?

Meaning, is HEC attestation really necessary or will British Council attestation be enough, as long as I get MOFA attestation?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Its a trick question :D:D sort of bu the answer is also hazy on this my friend. The reason is since you already got the visa based on the current attestations it has to be presumed that the family visa application also will get processed under normal cases. But if they refuse then you need to follow the process with HEC as you mentioned.

Thank you very much ! But why can't it all be just clear cut? :( Why go through it all once again when one originally got Visa through the exact same process? Its not like qualifications are gonna run away after getting the visa...

Anyway, do you know if it necessary to have a formal 'Degree'/Equivalency certificate for family visa status or can professional qualifications (like British CA) work for Family visa purposes (just like it worked for me, for the original professional visa)?
