Medical Care

I hoping someone can share some information with me regarding health care system in Honduras. I'm considering moving to La Ceiba, but not sure how good the medical facilities are in the area. Do they accept medical issurance offer in the States. I'm retired military and have Tricare as my provider.

thanks in advance

Re: Medical Care

You can purchase insurance in Honduras it shouldn't be that expensive. I would recommend the private hospitals in La Ceiba which are quite good.

You can check with Tricare, but my bet is it would be way cheaper to just get insurance in Honduras
