New shipping options for getting stuff into Costa Rica from outside
Hi Fellow CR Ex-pats!
I made a post in my blog, A Dull Roar, today that introduces a couple of "partial load" shippers for bringing stuff into CR hassle-free. Both companies have been moving households down here for years, but now they'll also do partial loads, as little or as much as you want. I've dealt with both and they are great folks (and there's no kickback here, I just like to recommend good services).
They both charge only by volume, not weight and their prices include everything, shipping, duties, taxes, etc. What's the rub? Takes time, 2 to 3 months to get your stuff, but it's worth it.
As you may known CR Customs is getting more and more picky about they'll let through, and if you've had to stand in lines at the Zapote PO in San José to pick up a package you know there has to be a better way!
