amman is a progressive city for the most part and safe from the violence of other countries. just take care to select a multi national school for your child and thigns should be pretty smooth

Re: Travelling to Aaman-Jordan

Hi abhi135,

Amman is a very family friendly city, could be a bit expensive if your kids need to be enrolled in school. International schools are a little bit pricey sometimes.

anyway, the IT/Software field is growing very rapidly here, hopefully you and your family will enjoy your time in here.

Best of luck

Re: Travelling to Aaman-Jordan

Hi,

Just would like to add, if the company you're working with is paying for the accomodation then that is good news. As mentioned, good private schools are EXPENSIVE here. If the company is paying you well then there shouldn't be a problem.. in general, many Jordanians are finding it hard to survive here as their salary are low but the cost of living is way too high.
all the best folks!
