Write for FRANCE Magazine

I'm a journalist with FRANCE Magazine(North America and Britain's best selling title about France).

In each US edition, we feature a column called 'An American in France', where an expat tells us about their life. We’re currently looking for volunteers.

It would just involve answering a few questions. Please let me know if you are interested.

Re: Write for FRANCE Magazine

I am not an an American so I don't know if I would qualify ??. I am English by birth, retired, married, and living in France.Americans writing for Americans put a very different slant on living here in France, perhaps an Englishmans perspective would, if nothing else, be slightly more enlightening, or wouldn't you agree??.

Re: Write for FRANCE Magazine

Dear FranceMag,

Greetings from La Ferté Saint Aubin, a little bitty village in the Centre region. My name is Kelly Robic, and I'm an American who's been living in France for six years with my French husband and our two bilingual children.

I'm writing in reference to your request for expat Americans living in France. I'm a former communications specialist from Texas. I've spent five years teaching adults and primary school children in the Orléans area. Now, thanks to budget cuts, I'm working as a blogger. I've just started frenchphotodujour.com and am working on another site for French teachers and parents who want to help children learn English.

Please provide additional details about participating in an interview for your magazine. I would appreciate hearing more about this opportunity.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Kelly Robic

Re: Write for FRANCE Magazine

Would you be interested in some articles focusing on food, restaurants, traveling with kids, etc, from the viewpoint of an American traveling in Paris?  I publish travel guides and have a few authors who would love to write for you.  Thanks! -- Jonathan Stein, Open Road Publishing

Re: Write for FRANCE Magazine

I have lived in beautiful sw France since 1994 with my British husband. Our two daughters, 19 and 17, were raised here and educated exclusively in the French system. Now the older one has fled to the UK for college and the younger to the US for high school. WTF?

Now that they're gone I have the time and mental energy to write an account of what went wrong. If you're interested: soulan09[at]gmail.com

Re: Write for FRANCE Magazine

Hello there

I would be interested in writing something for FRANCE magazine. However, I must confess, I am not American, I am Australian. I have lived in France for two years. I cam originally as a student of theatre and I now work in corporate events and communication. I am self employed and given that communication is my area of expertise, I would like to...communicate...with people. Do you need further info, examples of work etc? I have a blog of course and can send writing samples. Also, what sorts of articles are you looking for? Research based things or observational things?

OK, hope to hear from you soon.

Alison Bennett

Re: Write for FRANCE Magazine

Hi!  It looks like the supply of willing authors far exceeds the demand, but I am willing and eager to add my name to this list!

I'm a young American (just graduated last year) living and working in France for the year as an English language assistant.  I work in two French collèges (middle schools) and I tutor and blog in my free time!

Feel free to stop by my blog to get a sense for my experience here! http://doingitinfrench.wordpress.com/

Hope I hear from you. Bisous.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
