Successful job interview in Bosnia Herzegovine

Hi,

passing a job interview in Bosnia Herzegovine can be a stressful moment, especially you are not familiar with the cultural and professional codes of the country.

How to successfully pass a job interview in Bosnia Herzegovine ?

What happens during the interview ?

What are the do's and don'ts during a job interview in Bosnia Herzegovine : what to say or not, what to wear, how to behave ?

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience with us !

G'day julie

Can I ask what job you are applying for? In general in Bosnia you skills and experiences were more important. However, the educational part in recent years has taken big role unless we are talking about some technical job. In Bosnia unemployment is very high to the European standards, I am very surprised you managed to find job there. Also remember that Bosnia is not as cheap as people might believe but salaries are miles away from what you would earn in next door countries like Austria, Germany... Back to Do & Don't at an interview. Well it is like in any other country. Attendance, transparency, self driven, knowledge, skills, the local language (very important in most cases)... Bosnian is multi cultural, religious society and in general people of races and backgrounds are friendly, easy going. If you get a real friend in Bosnia it is probably for life.

Cheers and good luck
