Buying property in Pakistan

Hi,

can a foreigner buy property in Pakistan?

If so, is it complicated? What is the process of purchasing a property in Pakistan?

Any tips for buying property, such as a check-list of items to verify ?

Thanks in advance for participating!

Christine

Re: Buying property in Pakistan

yes surely they can anywhere in Pakistan but its better to buy in a gated community like Bahria town or DHA if its for residential purpose. As record in these communities is all computerized and in rest of Pakistan land record is still in registers and have alot of complications in determining the owner as real or fake or shared property among relatives inherited from fore fathers. Land in Islamabad (under CDA)is only city with clear computerized record so invest safe !
