Change of Passport after renewal and validity of tempoary resident cad

Dear All,
I had to change my passport since visa pages got exhausted. I have been returned my old passport after cancellation.Do I need to change my temporary resident card and work permit? The temporay resident card and work permit are valid till 2014.
Can any one guide me? I shall be grateful.

Presumably your old passport has been mutilated by the corner being cut off or by stamps.

If you want to do it yourself, have plenty of time and a good book, go to the Immigration Police office on Nguyen Du Street and they will issue a replacement visa for your new passport, cancel the previous visa ad likely stamp and update your your permit.

There is a fee, take VND2-3,000,000 with you (you won't need it all).

REMEMBER: Your Pink House Register has to be updated (VND1,000,000 fine) at your ward Cong An office - about 10 minutes of paper shuffling.
