I think public transport in Zagreb is perfect. All parts of the city are really good connected and there is a tram (or bus) every 15 minutes max. They are totally safe and every1 use them. I used them all the time. The price of the ride is a 1\1.50 euro.

Yes public transport is good but nationals,like my wife, are mad about recent price increase

I do no know exactly but my wife exploded wher she saw it on the news but she tells me it is nearly 25% more than before.This took effect about a month ago
