Back to Egypt

Strange as it may sound but I've been out of Cairo 2 weeks on vacation to Cuba . Internet was very limited so couldn't keep up to date with things . I have few friends in Egypt mainly expats . But I travel back today and want to know wether the situation has changed in Cairo . The reason I ask this is because I heard there was more protests in Tahrir and some more are planned . I need an update as to the situation, , meaning has things deteriorated in 2 weeks ?

Re: Back to Egypt

Dear sofie ,

as ebc marwan said..... Egypt is always safe , although protesting last friday but its never liek it started 25/jan, plus who r in tahrir now looks like gangs not normal citizens, and this coming friday 8-july supposed to be one of the important days fror revolution due to newspaper and media but it will be only in Tahrir as usual.
so its better to think before coming if its comfort for you to be in the middle of this situation!

but am sure it's almost safe for you as it's safe for us smile

Good Luck
Moe smile

Re: Back to Egypt

most here think this recent trouble was brought about by some of the old party.trying to stir the pot only.

Re: Back to Egypt

Having visited cairo numerous times before the "revolution' things seem reasonably peaceful here at present.
A word of caution though I would certainly avoid venturing into Tahrir in the next few days as there is a large demonstration planned.
